Benjamin Baldwin (PsyD, LP)

BenjaminIn 2003 I graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology, the Los Angeles campus, with a doctorate in Multi-Cultural Clinical Psychology. I have had the fortune of working in a variety of clinical settings while in graduate school. My dissertation focused on how to incorporate emotional intelligence into an elementary school classroom. My post-doctorate internship was at Vista Del Mar working in the child and family program. While completing my post-doctorate hours I developed a small private practice. In 2005 I moved to Wilmington and received my license in clinical psychology.

I believe above all else that safety and trust are the foundations for effective treatment. My areas of professional interest include depression, existentialism, and overcoming trauma. Depending on the presenting problem I will employ either a cognitive or psychodynamic approach. It is not uncommon in my practice to combine some facets of both these styles. I primarily work individually with adults, however, I will see a limited number of children and couples. At Delta Behavioral Health we utilize a team approach which allows the patient, if he or she chooses, to access services from multiple clinicians.
