Our therapists and prescribers - except those in our intensive programs - are independent providers who co-locate their services at Delta Behavioral Health. This structure allows you to choose the provider that best fits your needs while benefiting from the support and coordination of Delta’s administrative and medical infrastructure.

Whether you need only medication management, individual therapy, or both, Delta offers flexible options. We also accept many major insurance plans in addition to self-pay - making comprehensive behavioral health care accessible to individuals across Wilmington and southeastern North Carolina.

Delta Behavioral Health proudly offers Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - a highly specialized, evidence-based approach available through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - both mental health IOP and SAIOP for substance abuse disorder treatment.

Our DBT programs are the only ones of their kind in the Wilmington, NC region. They are specifically designed to help individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, impulsive behaviors, or chronic crises - including those who have experienced frequent hospitalizations.

Within these programs, clients receive:

• DBT Individual Therapy - a structured, behavior change therapy unique to Delta's PHP.
• DBT Skills Groups - offered in both PHP and IOP, teaching coping strategies that replace harmful behaviors.
• 24/7 Coaching Phone Support - immediate access to a trained therapist when you need guidance outside of session hours.
• A Dedicated DBT Team - ensuring your therapist has ongoing professional support and collaboration to deliver the best possible care.

Many clients begin in the PHP level of care and transition seamlessly to IOP as they progress. Our team works closely with you and your insurance provider to ensure you receive the right level of support for as long as it's needed, and refers to other providers for aftercare.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Joshi, operates an independent practice within Delta, offering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy through Rapid Recovery.
