Clinical Director, PHP & IOP/SAIOP Programs My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults with an array of emotional and behavioral challenges, including suicidal thinking, self-harm, substance abuse, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and borderline personality disorder. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I received both my BA in Psychology (2009) and MA in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Substance Abuse Treatment (2016).
I have been practicing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for 9 years and I am currently the Clinical Director for Delta Behavioral Health’s Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Mental Health/Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Programs (MH/SA IOP).
I am responsible for overseeing daily program operations and ensuring the implementation of adherent and high-quality DBT treatment. I completed my MA clinical internship at Delta where I was initially trained in (DBT) and have since been Foundationally Trained in DBT through Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech Institute. In addition, I have received extensive evidenced-based training in DBT including DBT Prolonged Exposure Protocol for PTSD, DBT for Substance Use Disorders, and DBT for Parents, Couples and Families. I have also received training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (EXRP) for OCD through the Cognitive Behavior Institute.
My values as a clinician align with DBT and my current role as Clinical Director at Delta. As a clinician, I have always been committed to providing a validating, non-judgmental and supportive environment, while also helping clients access the tools necessary to make meaningful changes in their lives. And as the clinical director of intensive DBT programs, I am committed to ensuring that we adhere to DBT principles by providing a supporting and validating environment while helping individuals access coping skills necessary to “Build A Life Worth Living.”
