Klem, Shi Nicole (MA, LPA, LCAS)

ShiI have always been interested in mental health issues as well as general health topics. I strongly believe in the mind-body connection and often incorporate basic health and wellness skills into therapy when appropriate.

I studied Psychology at Ohio University and began volunteering my time at a local mental health center. I completed my Masters Degree at UNC-Wilmington and specialized in Clinical Psychology and Substance Abuse Treatment. My internships were completed at Coastal Family Medicine Center and The Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital. I currently hold two licenses: Licensed Psychological Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

My professional career began at Coastal Horizons Center where I worked with Dual Diagnosed individuals (both mental health and substance abuse/dependence problems). I became a member of the Delta team in October of 2005, shortly after its formation. I use an integrated approach to psychotherapy, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My clients include, both, adults and adolescents with a variety of problems including: Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, Substance Abuse/Dependence and PTSD. I hope to contribute to Delta’s mission of helping clients “Build a Life Worth Living”.
