I have always been interested in mental health issues as well as general health topics. I strongly believe in the mind-body connection and often incorporate basic health and wellness skills into therapy when appropriate.

I studied Psychology at Ohio University and began volunteering my time at a local mental health center. I completed my Masters Degree at UNC-Wilmington and specialized in Clinical Psychology and Substance Abuse Treatment. My internships were completed at Coastal Family Medicine Center and The Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital. I currently hold two licenses: Licensed Psychological Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

I use an integrated approach to psychotherapy, focusing on ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). I work with people age 18 and older.
