Osborne, Brittany (MSW, LCSW, LCAS)

BrittanyI received both my BA in Sociology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and my Master’s in Social Work at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While at UNC, I worked part time at Orange County Rape Crisis Center. During that time I answered crisis line phone calls, did advocacy work for victims of sexual assault, and cared for at victims of sexual assault. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Addiction Specialist.

As part of my requirements for my MSW, I completed my internship at PORT Human Services and was involved with the Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment, the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program and Residential Treatment Services for pregnant women and/or women with children and Residential Treatment Services for men. Upon graduation and licensure, I continued working for PORT Human Services, where I became the Suboxone Coordinator and worked solely with individuals on opiate replacement therapies.

Currently my role at Delta is Facility Programs Therapist for the Partial Hospital Program, Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program, and the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. This involves conducting intakes, facilitating group, providing individual therapy and case management as well as crisis interventions. I primarily use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Strengths-Based Solution-Focused Therapy. My specialties include working with individuals with Substance Use Disorders, in particular opiate addictions, trauma and women’s issues, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and borderline personal disorders.
