Eric Guendner (MA, LPA, LCAS)

After retiring from the United States Marine Corps, I embarked on a new goal to become a psychologist and serve my community in a different capacity. Although a new practitioner, I bring much life experience to meet you where you are. I focus on implementing skills and behaviors with you to use in your life to move you toward your goals of living a life worth living.

I received both my BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Substance Abuse Treatment Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am currently licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. As part of my requirements for my MA and licensure, I completed my internship here at Delta and was involved with the Partial Hospitalization and Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. I have also received Foundational Training in DBT by Behavioral Tech. I have also received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy Prolonged Exposure, an evidenced based treatment for trauma.

In my private practice, I primarily use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with adults. I also facilitate a Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills group here at Delta. My specialties include working with individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Use Disorders. Mood Disorders and Anxiety Disorders. My unique combination of Military and Psychology experience supports the specific needs of First Responders, Law Enforcement Officers and Veterans.
