Eric Guendner (MA, LPA, LCAS)
Evidence based practice is at the core of my practice and I believe in the importance of delivering treatment that has been shown to be effective for each client’s concerns. Consistent with the evidence-based model, my practice is informed by current research findings in the area.
I use the specialist rather than the generalist model of care. I am board certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and certified in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD and maintain up to date continuing education, seek any needed supervision, and keep up with relevant research findings in those areas. As such, I am particularly qualified to work with clients who seek treatment for issues related to Borderline Personality Disorder, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Use Disorders and PTSD. I believe that if you are suffering from a specific issue, you deserve to receive the appropriate care for that issue. If I do not have expertise that fits your needs, I am happy to make a referral to an expert who is a better fit.
I received both my BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Substance Abuse Treatment Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am currently a Psychological Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist
