Richard Brice (MSW, LCSW)

DickMy name is Richard Brice. I was born and raised in a small village in Upstate New York and moved to North Carolina a few years ago.

I am licensed in New York and North Carolina to practice as a Clinical Social Worker. My undergraduate work was completed at LeMoyne College where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. I went on to obtain a Masters’ Degree in Social Work at Syracuse University School of Social Work with major concentration in Individual and Family Counseling studies.

I have thirty plus years of experience as a psychotherapist, mainly being employed in mental health outpatient settings, both private and public. My clinical experience has involved treatment of children, teens, young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors. My clients have included men and women who are under situational stress, people having problems with drugs and alcohol, those who are in the midst of sorrow and grieving, people suffering from panic and high anxiety, some with deep depression, individuals haunted by voices and visions and many who feel just plain overwhelmed.

My counseling involves a partnership in which we work on achieving the right balance in a person’s life—a reparative restructuring of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. In my counseling I offer you a place of peace and safety—a place where you will never be judged, and a place of acceptance and respect.
